JOSE MOURINHO made a bizarre Brexit intervention, suggesting it was his "fault" some people "don't like" the UK's decision to break away from the European Union during an explosive interview.

The Tottenham Hotspur manager criticised his players and apologised to fans after his side were dumped out of the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb last night. But during one interview, while he was still Manchester United manager, it was Mourinho who said he could not get out of the spotlight. The 58-year-old Premier League boss claimed there was a “clear manhunt” against him following a run of bad form, adding that it was affecting his team at the time.

“Marcus Rashford was scored on the pitch. Scott McTominay was scared on the pitch, they were making mistakes that were not normal.”
But Mourinho’s choice of words did not escape criticism, including from Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand, who stated the use of the word “manhunt” had caused him to chuckle during his post-match analysis.
The former defender added: “What does he expect, he’s the manager of Manchester United?
“If results are not going well there are bound to be questions asked.”
Mourinho left Manchester United in December 2018 – two months after the rant – with the club sitting in sixth place after 17 matches.
