Man Utd: Solskjaer responds to questions on Haaland
Manchester United's transfer officials are already working behind the scenes on what players to target in the summer window with a host of names being linked to Old Trafford. There appears to be three main areas where United are keen to improve their options for next season.
Signing another striker has been tipped as a priority with Anthony Martial struggling to rediscover the kind of form he enjoyed last season.
Edinson Cavani is expected to be offered a one-year extension on his current deal, which is set to expire this summer, but he won't be a long-term solution due to his age.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted a new centre-back last summer and reports have suggested he remains keen on pushing for one this time around.
They've already missed out on Dayot Upamecano, who has agreed a deal in principle to join Bayern Munich.
The problem facing all three clubs though will be Norwich's asking price, which is reportedly set at £35million.
With Norwich expected to earn promotion back to the Premier League as they currently hold a seven-point lead at the top of the Championship, Norwich will be in a strong negotiating position.
For United, that may mean being forced to look elsewhere with signing a centre-back said to be the main target for Solskjaer this summer.
Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has emerged as the club's top target, who has a £68million release clause in his contract.

The Red Devils proved last summer in their refusal to meet Borussia Dortmund's demands for Jadon Sancho that they won't break the bank in order to bring in their top targets.
If United meet Norwich's asking price of £35m to sign Aarons, it would mean the club have two top tier right backs costing the club around £85m in total having spent £50m on Wan-Bissaka back in 2019.
That may not be seen as a necessary investment for United with rejuvenating the centre of defence seen as a far more pressing matter.
And while United are the top scoring side in the Premier League this season, signing a striker may also be seen as a bigger priority over a back-up right back costing £35m due to Cavani's advancing years.
