Man City transfer news: Who could Man City sign before the end of transfer deadline day?
Man City transfer news has started to develop with only a few days left of the January transfer window. Who could Pep Guardiola sign before the end of transfer deadline day? Here's the latest on Lionel Messi, David Alaba, and Gabriel Veron.
Man City: Guardiola provides Garcia transfer update
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will be content with how the first half of the season has played out, with the Citizens top of the Premier League table. After spending big during the summer, will City dip into the transfer market before Sunday's deadline?
City have hit superb form over recent weeks, and have found themselves at the top of the league table.
Guardiola's side had an inconsistent start to the campaign, and were picking up far too many draws for the Spaniard's liking.
But having eased through their Champions League group, as well as beating Arsenal and Manchester United to reach the Carabao Cup final, City's plans for more trophies this season appear in full swing.
Will Guardiola dip into the transfer market this month to try and boost the Premier League title ambitions?

Lionel Messi
Messi was reportedly very close to joining City last summer, after falling out with the higher-ups at Barcelona.
He believed that he could leave the Nou Camp on a free transfer before the start of the season, but Barcelona rejected that logic.
He definitely will be able to leave Barca at the end of the current season.
Barcelona may be tempted to sell this month in a bid to avoid losing their talisman on a free transfer in six months' time.

Brazilian youngster Gabriel Veron is in-demand after impressing for Palmeiras.
The 18-year-old striker has caught attention from both City and Manchester United.
City are already in talks with Palmeiras to sign Veron, as the two clubs have a good working relationship, stemming from City's acquisition of Gabriel Jesus back in 2016.
Palmeiras are holding out for at least £29m for Veron, which would be the same transfer fee City paid for Jesus.
