The January transfer window is now open and for Liverpool, it’s a chance to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the 2020/21 season. It’s been a mixed start to the campaign for the Reds, who are in second place after their opening 17 games in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp could be looking to sign a centre-back, with his first-choice pairing of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both sidelined through serious knee injuries.
A few players have been linked with a move away from Anfield as well, with the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum all said to be considering their future with the champions.
It is expected to be a relatively quiet month for Liverpool, but there is set to be plenty going on behind the scenes.
With this being said, we have used Transfermarkt to find out the latest market values of each of the Reds’ squad to see how they have increased since the summer.
Here is how much each player is worth and how their value has fluctuated over the campaign so far.

The majority of the Liverpool squad have either kept the same value, or slightly improved it, which is a fair reflection of how the Reds’ season has gone so far.
Despite their long-term injuries, van Dijk’s and Gomez’s value has not decreased and the latter’s has actually risen since picking up the serious knee problem earlier in the campaign.
Curtis Jones is the man with the biggest growth in Klopp’s squad, with the 19-year-old showcasing some fine form in the first-team this season.
The injuries have actually personally benefited Jones, who has become a regular in Klopp’s setup in recent months.
Neco Williams, another one of Liverpool’s teenage talents, has also seen his value rise - more than doubling since last time.
There have also been considerable growths in valuation for the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota.
Alexander-Arnold and Robertson continue to show why they are two of the strongest full-backs in the Premier League, with their defensive contribution and the amount of assists they each get.

Meanwhile, since Jota arrived from Wolves over the summer, he has been in fine form for the Reds and prior to picking up an injury at the start of December, looked like one of Klopp’s most dangerous attacking options.
Thiago Alcantara is valued at £43m despite moving from Bayern Munich for considerably less than that last summer.
In terms of dips in value, Adrian has halved after Caoimhin Kelleher established himself as a challenger to be Alisson's back-up, with the two reserve goalkeepers now valued at the same price.
No player has seen a sizable dip apart from that, but central midfield duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner have both seen their values decrease.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has once again been struggling with injury problems, although he has recently returned to fitness.
Whereas Milner’s drop in price is probably due to the Englishman’s age, with the former Manchester City star turning 35 years old recently.
