Liverpool have denied they are interested in a move for Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish. Reports had suggested the Reds were the latest club to show an interest in the in-demand England international.
Premier League rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are both keen on the player and reports yesterday claimed Liverpool had also entered the race.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp’s side will not be making an approach for the player.
With on-going speculation that star striker Mohamed Salah is ‘unhappy’ at Anfield, the Reds were said to be ‘monitoring’ Grealish as a potential replacement.
Grealish, 25, has been in fine form this campaign with five goals and six assists for midlands side alerting a number of potential suitors.

The Villa captain has five caps for England and made his debut for the senior team earlier this season.
Grealish made his first start for Gareth Southgate’s team in the 3-0 friendly win over Wales, picking up an assist in the process.
After surviving relegation on the final day of last season, Villa have gone from strength to strength and currently sit ninth in the Premier League table.
With Dean Smith’s side and Grealish both performing well this year, it’s unlikely the club would sanction a move for the player mid-season.

Should the player eventually depart Villa Park, the club will be expected to demand up to £100million for his signature.
Grealish also recently signed a new contract with his boyhood club, committing himself to 2025.
For Liverpool, another attacking player would not have been a consideration, with Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and summer signing Diego Jota as well as Takumi Minamino and Xherdan Shaqiri among their ranks.
However, continued uncertainty over Salah’s future may change the club’s stance.
