Cristiano Ronaldo records a positive test for COVID-19
Juventus will be without Cristiano Ronaldo for the big Champions League game against Barcelona on Wednesday after he returned a positive coronavirus test. Ronaldo was on international duty with Portugal earlier this month when he first tested positive for coronavirus.
The last time they faced against each other was in a 2-2 draw back in May 2018 between Real and Barcelona.
Both Messi and Ronaldo got on the scoresheet that day and there was plenty of anticipation of a reunion on Wednesday.
Now Andrea Pirlo faces a tough ask to try and overcome the La Liga giants, who are still reeling from their 3-1 defeat in the El Clasico at the weekend.
Juventus had endured an even more disappointing start to the league season, winning just two of their opening five matches.
