Manchester United vs PSG: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reacts to 2-1 win
Manchester United apparently aren’t a club in crisis after all. Just as talk of Mauricio Pochettino taking over starts to gain volume, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets the result he needs. So, with hindsight on our side, we’ll now take a look at four players who deserve more respect.
Since Solskjaer took over at United, he’s had to repeatedly defend David De Gea.
The Spain international’s performance levels have indeed dropped over the past 18 months but, against PSG, the 29-year-old was back to his blockbuster best.
As a goalkeeper playing at the highest level, there’s always bound to be scrutiny and criticism. That’s part and parcel of the game.
But perhaps too much of it has been too strong. The Spaniard, on his day, is one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
And he showed this against PSG, making sensational saves from Angel Di Maria, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. Now, he’s undroppable.

When news of United’s starting XI filtered through on social media, many fans took issue with the decision to name Scott McTominay in their starting XI.
They wanted Paul Pogba or Donny van de Beek but, instead, it was the Scotland international who got the nod.
But he, certainly, is a big game player.
McTominay starred last season against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool but this PSG performance was arguably his finest hour.
He’ll take some dropping on this form, regardless of Pogba and Van de Beek’s presence at the club.

Marcus Rashford
In the week, it was revealed Marcus Rashford is the most-trolled footballer in the world.
Why? Just why?
The England international has made headlines with his brilliant exploits off the pitch, recently being given an MBE for helping to tackle child poverty.
And, on it, he remains one of Europe’s hottest prospects.
Rashford is only 22 and has already achieved plenty throughout his career. The England international is a terrific asset on the pitch and proved this with his winner against PSG.
