Express Sport has ranked every Premier League away shirt for the 2026/27 season
(Image: LIVERPOOL/MAN UTD)The new Premier League season is right around the corner, which means a new batch of kits will be gracing pitches across the country. All 20 clubs are in the process of revealing their home and away shirts for the 2026/27 campaign and some are certainly better than others. While home strips are usually kept clean and traditional, kit manufacturers tend to have more creative freedom when it comes to the away shirt.
This can result in stunning kits lauded as iconic for years to come, or dreadful efforts banished to the history books, never to be worn again. As ever, it's a real mixed bag in the Premier League this season, with some shirts hitting the mark and others missing by a mile.
Express Sport ranks every single newly-released away shirt in England's top flight...
#20 - Sunderland

Hummel have really pushed the boat out with this Elvis-inspired number, which falls very much into the love-it-or-hate-it category. Personally, I hate it. They've tried too hard to be different and the end result leaves me wanting to bleach my eyes. Yuck.

The less said about that massive pink Vitality sponsor, the better. The shirt itself carries a Temu version of the bruised banana design made famous by Arsenal, which doesn't look great in this case, but the monstrosity in the middle makes it even worse. Just awful.

The newly-promoted Tigers raised eyebrows by teaming up with Oxen, a small British manufacturer best known for making rugby league kits, for their first Premier League season in a decade. In hindsight, maybe they shouldn't have. This one looks like something you'd find at a dodgy street market on holiday.

There's too much going on here. The collar is too flappy, the sponsor logo is too big and the shade of red is too bright. The abstract checkerboard pattern doesn't work for me, either. I feel overstimulated just looking at it.
