Man Utd: Solskjaer's players may get him sacked claims Keane
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly ‘feels insecure’ at Old Trafford. Talk of Mauricio Pochettino taking over at the club is growing in volume ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Newcastle. And things are far from happy behind the scenes.
Manchester United have suffered a nightmare start to the new Premier League season.
They were beaten 3-1 by Crystal Palace in their opening fixture and, though they beat Brighton, were then battered 6-1 by Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham on home turf.
Rumours linking Pochettino with the job are growing in volume, with the Argentine supposedly ‘sounded out’ about potentially taking over.
And the Independent claim a United player has expressed a belief that Solskjaer ‘feels insecure’ at the current moment in time.
Training under the 47-year-old is said ‘feel so basic’ and it now seems as though he’s facing a huge fight to turn things around, all with the shadow of Pochettino looming in the background.

“Solskjaer probably needs a few wins to restore his credibility with the players.”
United players are also unhappy at the club’s failings in the transfer market this summer.
Solskjaer went into the window hoping to sign Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, Aston Villa and Birmingham respectively.
But they missed out on the trio and instead landed Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri, Alex Telles and Donny van de Beek instead.
Meanwhile, speaking ahead of the match against Newcastle on Saturday, Solskjaer insisted he and his squad weren’t paying attention to rumours about the club.
“We’ve been in touch with the ones that have been away and it’s one of those things you have to get over as soon as you can,” he said.
“We know any little chance from outside wants to create division.
“Bruno spoke well the other day we are united and have to stay together, we can’t listen to everyone outside, gotta get on with it.
“Bruno has lost two league games and came in February, it’s been two in quick succession, he’s not used to losing league games - but welcome to Manchester United.
“This is what happens, [people are] gonna try and create a division between us but it’s not gonna happen, this is a group that wants to work together and stick together.”
