Arsenal: Aubameyang and Maitland-Niles discuss contracts
Alexandre Lacazette has appeared to confirm he will be staying at Arsenal this summer amid talk he could leave the club. The Frenchman has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs including Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
While his strike partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to sign a new deal, talks between the club and Lacazette over a contract extension have stalled.
As things stand, the former Lyon man has two years remaining in north London.
Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he wants to continue working with Lacazette who remains part of his plans.
"Why would I want to lose a player like him? I'm really happy with him. I really like Alex, I said that even before I joined here that he is the type of striker that I really like," Arteta said.

The player's entourage recently held a meeting with Juventus in London to discuss a potential move to Turin, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
They were unable to find an agreement though which again strengthens Arsenal's position to keep Lacazette.
"I believe that he will stay," Romano told YouTuber Lee Gunner in an interview for his channel.
"For sure his agents are speaking with many clubs. They spoke with Juventus, but Juventus can't pay like €50million in this moment to sign Lacazette.

"They won't pay this fee but the Juventus director Fabio Paratici was in England some days ago.
"He had a meeting with his agent but they did not find an agreement. In this moment I would have to say Juventus is a no.
"Inter is a no too, they will go with Lautaro [Martinez] and [Romelu] Lukaku next season so they are not going for Lacazette."
Atletico Madrid have also held talks with Arsenal over Lacazette but again, there has been no agreement.
The two clubs met to discuss a deal for Thomas Partey but Atletico also took the chance to quiz Arsenal on Lacazette's availability.
