Chelsea: Pundits discuss ‘showdown’ over Kai Havertz transfer
Chelsea are desperate to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz. However, the Blues and the Bundesliga side are miles off on their valuation of the Germany international, 21. Chelsea could end up paying around £70m for Havertz but Leverkusen are currently demanding closer to £100m. Express Sport has taken a look at who Chelsea could sell to raise funds for the Havertz transfer fee.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has serious doubts over the £71m goalkeeper.
Lampard dropped Arrizabalaga for the FA Cup final as well as their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich last weekend.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of goalkeepers from Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak to Nick Pope of Burnley.
It's doubtful Chelsea will recoup their record transfer fee they paid for Arrizabalaga.
However, if the Blues received half of the fee it would help them secure Havertz.

Tiemoue Bakayoko
The midfielder has failed to impress since his £40m move from Monaco in 2017.
Bakayoko was loaned back to Monaco last season and the Frenchman has no future under Lampard at Stamford Bridge.
It's claimed AC Milan are in talks to sign Bakayoko on loan for the coming season, with an option to make the move permanent next summer.
However, Chelsea will be hoping to agree a permanent deal this summer to get the 25-year-old off their books.

Similar to Palmieri, Alonso will be allowed to move on if Chelsea sign a new left-back this summer.
Alonso impressed in spells under Lampard last time out, however, a couple of high-profile defensive mistakes led to the Chelsea boss losing trust in the Spaniard.
Lampard clearly doesn't fancy Alonso, 29, as his left-back for the future.
Alonso had a good run at Chelsea, winning the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa League. However, his time at Stamford Bridge could be up.

Jorginho
Jorginho struggled to get game time after the Premier League returned in June.
While Jorginho was warming the bench at Chelsea, ex-Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri was watching his former midfielder.
Sarri was expected to offer Jorginho, who he managed at Napoli and Chelsea, an escape route out of Stamford Bridge.
However, the Italian was sacked following Juventus' Champions League exit last week.
It remains to be seen whether Juventus will still move for Jorginho, 28.
However, Chelsea will welcome interest in the midfielder, who is deemed surplus to requirements.
