Liverpool target Diego Carlos works out in home gym
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has added Sevilla star Diego Carlos to his summer transfer shortlist and the 27-year-old centre-back has a £67million release clause in his contract. Klopp is not resting on his laurels despite having a 25-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League this campaign.
The German coach is on the lookout to strengthen his side this summer and according to Spanish publication Marca, he has identified Carlos as a transfer target.
The Brazilian has had an impressive debut season in La Liga since joining Sevilla from Nantes for £16m (€18m) last summer.
However, like many clubs across the globe Sevilla are looking to mitigate the impact the suspension of football is has had on the club's finances.
The report claims Sevilla director of football Monchi is looking at various plans this summer and could sell one or two key players, including Carlos.

The centre-back is under contract until 2024, but it does include a £67m (€75m) release clause.
Liverpool are not alone in keeping tabs on the defender, as his performances have attracted the attention of several top clubs across Europe, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid also all vying for his signature.
Sevilla are currently third in La Liga on 47 points and are nine points off second-placed Real Madrid and a further two of league leaders Barcelona.

All La Liga teams have 11 games left to play to finish the season and qualifying for the Champions League would not only considerably help Sevilla's position financially but also their chances of retaining players.
However, there are three teams within a win of leapfrogging Sevilla and Valencia in seventh are only five points behind them.
La Liga have plans to resume the season on June 20 and hope to finish the remaining matches by July 26.
As for Carlos, he insisted that he is now focused on training and when the season is completed he will asses his options depending on where Sevilla finish in the table.
