Kylian Mbappe will 'want to come to Liverpool' says Crouch
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is already making plans to go after a Kylian Mbappe in the transfer market having reportedly reached out to the player's father in a private phone call. Mbappe burst onto the scene at Monaco in 2015 before enjoying a breakthrough year the following season, helping the Ligue 1 side win the title.
He soon established himself as the hottest property in Europe with some of the biggest clubs in the world chasing his signature.
Paris Saint-Germain won the battle for his signature in 2017, initially on a year-long loan before stumping up €180million (£165.7m).
Mbappe has gone from strength-to-strength with PSG, winning multiple individual awards and back-to-back league titles as well as playing a key part in France's World Cup winning side in 2018.
But there have been ongoing rumours that the 21-year-old may already be looking for a way out of Paris having yet to sign an extension to his current contract, which is set to expire in little over two years.
It is suggested Klopp is making contingency plans should Sadio Mane leave Liverpool in the near future, with both Barcelona and Real linked with the Senegal international.
But the report adds any transfer for Mbappe would cost no less than €200m (£175m), although Mbappe currently holds the upper hand due to his contract situation.
It's not the first time Mbappe has been linked with a mega-money move to Anfield, with Klopp said to have spent several hours with the France international ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash against PSG back in September 2018.
And when Liverpool announced the club had agreed a lucrative deal with kit manufacturer Nike earlier this year, some fans saw that as a potential sign Mbappe was heading to Merseyside due to his links with the clothing brand.

Mbappe himself has even teased his interest in Liverpool, heaping praise on Klopp's side back in January.
"What Liverpool do in this moment is amazing, he said.
"They’re like a machine, they’ve found a rhythm and are like “we play again, we play again”.
"They’ve lost zero games. When you watch you think everything’s easy but that’s not easy. The guys are focused, they play games every three days and they win, they win, they win.
"Now the problem is that everybody watches Liverpool, and everybody watches what we can do against them, so now they have to show they are strong again but it’s a very good team with a very good manager."
