Man Utd: Alexis Sanchez will 'prove you all wrong' says Solskjaer
Manchester United know they will have a problem shifting Alexis Sanchez before the start of next season, says transfer expert Duncan Castles. Sanchez has spent this campaign on loan at Inter Milan but has failed to light up Serie A during his time at the San Siro club.
The Chile international missed over three months of action with an ankle injury and has made just two league starts overall, scoring one goal.
Sanchez will remain United's highest earner when his loan at Inter expires and he returns to Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old still has two years left on his reported £400,000-a-week contract with the Red Devils.
Castles says United will find it even harder this summer than last to find a club who would be prepared to take Sanchez, even on another season-long loan.

"That's one of the problems that Manchester United have, that Alexis Sanchez is going to be returning to them with that very high wage," Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast.
"[There is] almost zero chance that Inter will retain the player, can they find another club who's prepared to take on Sanchez's wages for a season?
"You would expect that given how much difficulty they had moving him out last summer, it's going to be far harder in the current financial, economic climate given that he's failed to perform at Inter.
"So they will have to take that into consideration."

United have been linked with a move for Barcelona and France forward Antoine Griezmann.
However, Castles' colleague Ian McGarry says United will be cautious over making the same mistake with Griezmann as they did with Sanchez.
Sanchez joined United from Arsenal in January 2018 but failed to live up to his mega wages.
McGarry said: "The one thing that both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although he wasn't in charge at the time when Alexis Sanchez was signed, and Manchester United will be looking at is once bitten twice shy, 'we don't want to get to the point where we're putting a player on big wages like we did with Sanchez only to find out he doesn't settle, he's not happy and he we end up with a player who simply doesn't perform to his potential'.

"So my advice to Ed Woodward would be to just have a check with Antoine about his dog situation now and ensure that he's got plenty of space to walk his dogs if indeed he has any and you'll avoid yourself any further potential upset with regards to the player's wellbeing, both mentally and socially."
