Tottenham believe they will keep hold of Harry Kane this summer because the coronavirus pandemic has caused havoc in the transfer market. The England striker is one of Europe’s most deadly finishers and liked by a host of top clubs.
Spurs would have demanded a staggering fee of around £250m from any club interest his services this summer, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus all said to be keen on his signature.
However any departure from the club for Kane now appears highly unlikely.
The Daily Star report major losses are expected at leading clubs due to coronavirus playing havoc with the football calendar.
And Tottenham are said to now feel the chances of any side splashing out a world-record fee are now very low, with rival teams not in a position to spend big money.
