Alfredo Morelos shows skills during drills in Rangers training
Alfredo Morelos is not likely to earn a “big money” move away from Rangers unless he performs at a higher standard, according to Noel Whelan. Morelos was in top form during the first half of the season and even earned interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Tottenham.

But the striker’s performances have dipped since the winter break as he has only scored one goal in all competitions.
The Colombia international drew another blank during the Gers’ 3-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen at Ibrox in the Europa League last-16 on Thursday and that may have an ever more detrimental effect to his stock.
Whelan claims this this is a “strange” turn of events from the previously in-form 23-year-old as suitors may decide to cool their interest.
The former Leeds forward claims that Morelos will have to improve his performances in the Scottish Premiership as well as the Europa League if he wants to secure a move away from Glasgow.

Whelan told Football Insider: “I think for Morelos, it’s a strange one.
“Yes, you’re not getting the support, yes, you’re getting frustrated, but at the same time, people are going to be paying big money for that player, maybe, in the summer. He’s going to have to do it in Europe.
“If he can’t stamp his mark on games in these competitions, other teams will be looking at that.
