FA Cup fifth round: Pundits share their predictions
FA Cup action continues this week as the last 16 teams battle it out. But a place in the draw for the quarter-finals is not the only thing at stake.
Clubs picked up £180,000 for their victories in the FA Cup fourth round and the winners this week will earn £360,000.
However, the prize money awarded does not include money generated through gate receipts and television deals.
Between the third and sixth rounds, 45 per cent of gate receipts goes to each club, with 10 per cent going into a central pot.
Clubs featuring in televised games in the fifth round will each receive a £250,000 broadcast fee.

Matches on TV offer great advertising opportunities, which also generates large sums for the FA Cup fund.
Speaking in 2016, Andy Clilverd, commercial director at Stadia Solutions, which specialises in the digital hoardings that run along the sides of the pitch, said: “Getting advertising access to the TV games remains very important.
“Advertisers don’t believe the magic of the cup has worn off – we have not seen a slackening off in rates.”
The draw for the FA Cup quarter-finals takes place on Wednesday, March 4.
