Manchester United signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in January and the midfielder has quickly impressed at Old Trafford. The Portuguese stood out last night in the 5-0 demolition against Club Brugge in the Europa League.

Scholes did question that United only snapped up Fernandes in January though and wonders where his former side might be if the midfielder had been at Old Trafford all season.

“I tried to send him inside [when subbed off] because it was cold, but he didn't want to, he wanted to watch. He just loves football. He'll know everything about football and football is everything for him.
“He has been a big, big boost for us.”
United return to action on Sunday when they take on Everton in the Premier League at Goodison Park (2pm).
The Red Devils are looking to close the gap on Chelsea and force their way into the top four.
