Man Utd: Neves ‘ticks all the boxes’ for club says expert
Jamie Redknapp hailed Ruben Neves for his performance against Manchester United, as he turned in a Man of the Match display for Wolves. The Portuguese midfielder went up against his fellow international team-mate Bruno Fernandes, who was making his debut for the hosts following his transfer from Sporting.

“So good on the ball, so composed, always makes the right pass.
“We talk about quality midfield players and he is certainly one.”
It’s not the first time Redknapp has publicly praised Neves either.
At the back end of last season, the former Liverpool midfielder compared the ex-Porto man to Xabi Alonso.

“Ruben Neves is one of the most exciting midfielders in the Premier League,” he said in May 2019.
“He reminds me of Xabi Alonso and Wolves face a challenge to keep hold of him.”
Manchester United have been linked with Neves as recently as last month.
Reports soon such down the speculation though, with Neves said to be not overly excited by a move to Old Trafford.
