Man Utd: Solskjaer on 'short term deals' in transfer window
Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is set to leave Old Trafford for Argentine side Estudiantes, according to reports in South America. The defender has struggled for game-time this season and is now set to depart the club after playing just three times in the Premier League this season and having been offered to Sporting as part of a potential deal for Bruno Fernandes.

United are understood to have offered Rojo to Sporting as part of negotiations for Fernandes.
The left-back joined the Red Devils from the Portuguese club after the 2014 World Cup.
Rojo was not keen though and refused to be included as part of a deal for Fernandes - a position which might have changed closer to deadline day. He is also believed to have offers from Turkey and Mexico.
In regards to Fernandes, Sporting were keen on taking a United player on loan for the rest of the season as part of the package.
As well as Rojo, they were offered Joel Pereira and Angel Gomes but neither of those interested Sporting.

Instead, they requested Andreas Pereira, but he is deemed too valuable by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Speaking back in November when Rojo impressed in the 3-0 win over Partizan Belgrade, Solskjaer appeared to rule out a January exit.
“To have him around when he’s fit and in a good mood, good form, has been great for us,” Solskjaer said.
“The boys love him, he spreads fear in training sometimes because he tackles properly.

“He’s one of the ones who really, really cares about this game.
“I think he’s taking his opportunities every time he’s played.”
United are thought to be exploring the possibility of a loan deal to bring in another centre-back.
They are still fully focused on bolstering their midfield options while a striker is also an area they are looking to improve.
