Arsenal: Wilfred Ndidi would 'suit' club says pundit
Arsenal will only make a permanent signing this month if they can get a cut-price deal near the end of the window, reckons Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is yet to make any new signings in his first window in charge of the Gunners. Arsenal committed to spending over £130million last summer, with reports saying there is not a lot of cash remaining for new talent this month.
Arteta has said he is looking at defensive reinforcement following the long-term knee injury suffered by Calum Chambers.
Solhekol believes loan deals are the most likely option for Arsenal this month, unless they can get a permanent deal over the line late on.
“Well I think they need a centre-back but they don’t have much money,” Solhekol said.
“They spent almost £140m last summer and I think if they are going to get somebody in, it will be someone on loan or somebody right at the end of the window when you can get a better deal.”

“It has to be the right player, in the right context that financially we can compete and we can attract and all these factors, if you put them together, are not easy in this market,” the Spaniard said.
“I’m happy we have the squad that I believe we can compete for what we want. I’m fine.
“I want to keep the players and get the maximum from the players that I want, but if this scenario changes and we need somebody, I’m expecting that we will go into the market and try to solve the issue.”
