Athetico PR vs Flamengo: Guimaraes demonstrates skills in 2019
Arsenal will have to delay a deal for Athletico Paranaense star Bruno Guimaraes as they are strapped for cash after last summer’s spending spree. Paranaense president Mario Celso Petraglia has confirmed the Gunners' interest in the midfielder but he says they will not discuss the signing of Guimaraes during the ongoing January transfer window and will instead revisit in the summer if the player is still available.

Guimaraes, who Express Sport understands is on Chelsea's radar, is aware of other club’s interest and their approach to Paranaense after an impressive season that saw him earning plaudits as one of the best midfielders in the Brazilian league.
However, the central midfielder is solely focused on the club as well as Brazil’s Under-23 side and has left all the transfer business to his representatives.
Guimaraes said: "I am focused exclusively on selection and I ask my entrepreneurs to tell me little of what is going on.
“And the little I knew was that there were contacts.”
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he and the club’s hierarchy are working on January deals that will help bolster his squad for the second half of the season.
However, the Spaniard understands that he has limited funds following the club’s big spend in the summer and isn’t expecting anything significant.
Arteta said: “At the moment there is nothing coming up.
"The club is working on a few things but you know how difficult this window is and I'm not expecting many things."
Arsenal are set for a difficult encounter on Saturday against Sheffield United at the Emirates following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace away during the weekend.
