And there is a chance that Benteke could return to his former club Villa, to fill in for the injured Wesley.
The 23-year-old Brazilian has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury against Burnley on New Year’s Day.
Villa are limited in their options during the transfer window, as they seek to stay within Financial Fair Play regulations, but a loan deal could be the ideal option for both clubs and Benteke.
The Belgian has found memories from his time at Villa Park, as he scored 49 goals in 101 games before making the switch to Anfield.
And Benteke’s former team-mate Alan Hutton believes the Belgian would relish the chance to move back to Villa.

“His record was really good at Villa, I think it was a goal every two games, around about that mark, to be honest, he was sensational, to be honest,” the unattached full-back told Football Insider.
“Big, powerful, the way we played suited him, balls into the box, holding the ball up, getting to use his head, so he’d definitely suit them.
“I know he has tailed off over the last few years, Liverpool move didn’t work, Crystal Palace he’s not scored many.
“But I know him as a person and he’ll be desperate to prove his worth and maybe a move back to Villa…I’m sure the Villa fans will welcome him back with open arms.

Another option Villa are exploring is the availability of Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.
However, the Blues appear reluctant to let the 26-year-old leave on loan until they have signed a suitable replacement.
