Bruno Fernandes would fit Man Utd ‘like a glove’ says fan
Bruno Fernandes’ move to Manchester United has hit a hitch with Sporting Lisbon turning down Angel Gomes and two other players. The Red Devils are determined to sign the Portugal international, who is valued at £65million.
Manchester United have seen both Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata disappoint in the No 10 role this season and, as a result, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to land an upgrade.
The Red Devils had initially looked at signing Jack Grealish or James Maddison - but both players are expected to stay at Aston Villa and Leicester respectively.
That’s led them into going for Fernandes, who has scored 15 goals for Sporting across all competitions this season.
However, with the player valued at £65million, the Red Devils are looking to include some stars in the operation.
But Sporting have turned down Gomes, Joel Pereira and Marcos Rojo.

That United have offered Gomes suggests that the club are resigned to losing the talented teenager.
The 19-year-old is a huge talent and the Red Devils have been trying to get him to sign a contract extension, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.
But it appears United are set to lose the midfielder for nothing at the end of the season.
Pereira is on loan at Hearts this season.
But United tried to include him in the operation to land Fernandes as well, only for Sporting to turn their pitch down.
