Bruno Fernandes scores incredible goal for Sporting
Tottenham have decided to revive their interest in Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes, according to reports. Manchester United are hoping to land the Portugal international this month but, in a stunning twist, the midfielder could end up in north London instead.
Tottenham have always insisted they won’t be challenging United for the signing of Fernandes, who has scored 13 goals and chipped in with 13 assists so far this season.
Speaking back in November, Jose Mourinho said: "I would definitely say no because Bruno is a player of a level and value that is not for us.”
Earlier today, however, it emerged that Sporting were talking to another Premier League club besides United.
And BeIn Sports reporter Matt Critchley suggested it was Tottenham, saying: “What’s maybe complicated the issue is, to my understanding, Sporting officials are now in London.
“Possibly another Premier League club, possibly Tottenham, are now in the hunt for Bruno Fernandes.

“Sporting officials want to hear what they’ve got to say, whether they’re prepared to offer any more money and whether a separate deal with a Premier League club can be done.”
Now, the Independent have confirmed that Tottenham have decided to try and sign Fernandes this month.
Spurs are likely to lose Christian Eriksen sooner, rather than later.
Tottenham have failed to convince the Denmark international to stay, with the playmaker eager to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.
