Man United: Solskjaer discusses Bruno Fernandes transfer
Manchester United are close to completing a transfer for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes. That’s according to O Jogo Editor-in-Chief Filipe Dias who believes the Red Devils could be just hours away from striking a deal.
The 25-year-old has been in fine form again this season, netting 13 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to sign a midfielder this month as he has few options due to injuries.
Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay are both out indefinitely leaving the Red Devils manager with Fred, Nemanja Matic and Andreas Pereira as his main options.

And Dias believes United could be very close to completing a deal for Fernandes to help solves some of them problems.
He told the Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast: “The story so far is that United this time are really closing in on Bruno Fernandes.
“My newspaper, we ran a story earlier this morning that there are talks between the two clubs and we figure that a deal might be close in the next few days, few hours even, because Sporting need the money badly.

“They didn’t accept a deal with Tottenham for €70million. It would be paid first 40 up front and then 25 but now Sporting will accept a different kind of conditions.
“For €70m I’m speaking and thinking in Euros of course, but paid in instalments and United, which is the club Bruno Fernandes really likes in England.
“It’s a club he wants to play for really, no disrespect to Tottenham but talks have been intensified in the last couple of days so we’re kind of expecting it might be close.”
