Chelsea: Frank Lampard reflects on 2-1 win over Arsenal
Chelsea have enquired about RB Leipzig star Timo Werner’s release clause ahead of the January transfer window. The Blues are hopeful of signing a forward over the coming weeks, with Werner, Jadon Sancho, Wilfried Zaha and Samuel Chukwueze all options for the west London side.

Werner is a versatile player who can operate through the middle or out wide - something which would suit Lampard and his flexible needs.
Chelsea have hugely under Lampard this season and have picked up aways wins over Tottenham and Arsenal this month.
But they’re showing some worrying home form, as they’ve lost to Bournemouth, West Ham and Southampton at Stamford Bridge since the end of November.
“It takes both in terms of the big picture for a club like us,” Lampard said about the balance of training methods and potential new signings to solve Chelsea’s home form problems.

“We work on the training ground, but the question of the players are, in these kind of games which we’re controlling, can we score goals?
“Because that makes the feeling of the counter-attack not so dangerous. When it stays 0-0 it feels dangerous.
“So it’s something we’ll have to look at and always.”
