Liverpool: Trent Alexander-Arnold discussed by pundits
Liverpool full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are not the best the Premier League has ever seen, according to former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara. Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are key members of the Liverpool side that currently sit clear at the top of the table. Alexander-Arnold scored one and assisted two others as the Reds beat Leicester 4-0 on Boxing Day.
That match only strengthened some fans’ opinions that the full-backs are the greatest in the Premier League era.
O’Hara agrees the duo are on their way to reaching that accolade after helping Liverpool win three trophies in 2019.
However, he still believes Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Patrice Evra deserve to be recognised as the league’s greatest.
“Let’s start with a partnership because I think we need to address this,” O’Hara said on talkSPORT.

“There’s a lot of people saying it’s the best partnership ever in the Premier League.
“Now, I have to disagree. They’re incredible, Robertson and Trent at this moment in time are probably the best full-back pairing in the world, they’re incredible, but they’re not the best ever.
“For me - Patrice Evra, Gary Neville. They won more, they won everything. What they had was consistency, they won all the time, but they had the best back four.
“I wouldn’t say [they were] dynamic, I wouldn’t say as dynamic, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not the best.
