Havertz previews Champions League clash against Juventus
Manchester United are showing the most interest in a transfer for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz, according to reports. However, they'll face competition from Barcelona, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich when it comes to striking a deal.
Manchester United have several players under consideration as they aim to add more creativity to their ranks - despite Jesse Lingard's recent upturn in form.
The Red Devils have struggled with playmakers in recent years, with both Lingard and Juan Mata blowing hot and cold.
Manchester United's interest in Tottenham and Leicester players Christian Eriksen and James Maddison has been well-documented.
But German newspaper Bild claim that the Red Devils are the team currently showing the most interest in signing Havertz.
Over at Leverkusen, the Germany international has been in sensational form.

And that may force Bayern into looking at alternative transfer targets, such as Manchester City star Leroy Sane.
Meanwhile, Havertz was asked about his Leverkusen future ahead of his side's Champions League clash with Juventus on Wednesday.
And the Germany international said: "To be honest, I have zero interest in that at the moment, because there are simply too many important matches to play.
"Like I've often said, I'll take care of it if the opportunity arises."
Havertz has recently returned from an ankle break and expressed his delight at being back on the pitch.

The 20-year-old added: "An injury break is never too much fun, and I certainly wouldn't say I needed it.
"But it has helped me clear my head a bit. I'm back to full strength and ready to give everything I've got."
Havertz is billed as the next big thing for German football.
At the age of 20, he's made seven appearances for his country, with five coming in 2019.
He's also scored once, in a 2-2 friendly draw with Argentina back in October.
