Arsenal: Emery will be next manager sacked says Darke
Arsenal would ideally like to get rid of Unai Emery at the end of the season if they have to, rather than now, according to reports.
The Spaniard is under pressure in north London with Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to Leicester seeing their winless run extended into a fifth game.
Arsenal are willing to stand by Emery for the time being but The Times reports that the Gunners are prepared to wield the axe at the end of the campaign if things don’t improve.
They don’t want to go down the Manchester United route of sacking managers.

And former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino believes the Manchester City coach would be a huge hit at the Emirates.
“There are managers out there, but I said three years ago Mikel Arteta would have been the one [I picked],” he wrote in his column for The Times.
“If you read about all the stuff about Arteta at Man City behind the scenes, I felt he would be a great fit for Arsenal and I think he would take it to a new direction.
“His English is far better than Emery’s and he would be a massive plus for Arsenal if they chose to make that decision.
“Arsenal have to be brought together. There are a very divided club from their fanbase.
“Their fanbase is totally divided; they were over Wenger, they are over Emery and they are over the players in their team. It’s where the club is.
“Some has got to convince Arsenal fans who are doubters that they’re on the right track. Unai Emery hasn’t done that.
“He hasn’t convinced Arsenal fans who don’t believe he is the right man.”
Emery is facing a huge few months ahead.
His Arsenal side face play 11 matches before January 2 with crunch games against Manchester City, Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United all lying in wait.
