Chelsea boss Frank Lampard could keep Christian Pulisic in his side to face Watford on Saturday following the youngster’s recent impressive displays.
The 21-year-old put in a fantastic performance against Burnley last weekend when he scored a ‘perfect’ hat-trick at they won the game 4-2.
However, the American was unable to help a new-look side beat Manchester United in their mid-week Carabao Cup clash, as they lost 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
After 10 games into the Premier League season Lampard now has a selection dilemma, as the Blues manager has several players to choose from to play on the wings, following Pulisic’s recent form and Callum Hudson-Odoi returning from injury.
And ahead of the game against the Hornets the 41-year-old admitted he won’t be changing his side for “the sake of it” as he revealed one bad game for a player doesn’t mean they would be dropped.
When asked if will rotate his squad for the game at Vicarage Road, Lampard said: “Not necessarily, no. I’ll go as I see it.
“We changed slightly in midweek, I thought it was a game we had to rotate across the pitch to give minutes to younger players generally.
“But I’m not here to rotate for the sake of it.

“I understand players that want momentum and want to play and there’s not the pressure that if you have one game below par you don’t play. It can’t be that extreme.
“But it’s just choices I need to make every week.”
Chelsea currently sit 10th in the Premier League on 20 points and are only separated by goal difference to third placed Leicester City.
While Watford sit bottom of the table and are still looking to register their first win of the season.
The Hornets have the joint worst goal difference in the division (-16) and at the moment they are only averaging a goal every other game.
