Barcelona spent the entire summer trying to lure Neymar away from PSG and back to the Nou Camp.
But, despite their failure to sign the Brazil international, reports claim that the La Liga champions will spend the January transfer window focusing on signing a right-back instead.
Neymar was the great obsession of Barcelona, with manager Ernesto Valverde hoping the Samba star would join Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez in his squad for the current campaign.
Ultimately, however, PSG priced them out of a deal to sign the 27-year-old.
Barcelona tried every possible way of getting a transfer involving Neymar over the line.
They offered PSG the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho before the Brazil international joined Bayern Munich, while Ousmane Dembele was also offered to their Ligue 1 titans.
However, Spanish newspaper Marca claim Barcelona will instead spend the New Year trying to bring a right-back to the club.
They supposedly feel Messi, Griezmann, Ansu Fati and Carles Perez are enough options for their strikeforce.
And that means that there's no chance of Barcelona trying to sign Neymar when the transfer window reopens in just over two months' time.

Regarding the right-back position, and Barcelona are eyeing reinforcements.
Sergi Roberto is now regarded as a midfielder, leaving Valverde with Nelson Semedo as the club's first-choice full-back.
And while Barcelona aren't expecting to add to their squad this winter, that hasn't stopped them from making a reinforcement the club's priority.
Meanwhile, speaking in September, Neymar admitted he was previously keen on leaving PSG for a Barcelona return.
