Arsenal boss Unai Emery may switch to playing three at the back against Liverpool today, reckons former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley.
Emery often switched between playing four and three at the back during his first campaign in charge of the Gunners.
So far this season Arsenal have played with a flat back four which has proved successful in the two Premier League victories over Newcastle United and Burnley.
However, Burley believes it could be to the benefit of the team to play with three centre-backs instead.

He says the summer addition of David Luiz from Chelsea could lead to a change from Emery, starting at Anfield.
“We’ve talked on this show with the David Luiz are we going to see a three at the back at some point?” Burley said.
“He played last week, it wasn’t a three at the back last week, but he might throw that curveball in, possibly.”
Luiz had success at Chelsea playing in a back three under Antonio Conte, winning the Premier League title during the 2016/17 season.

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol agrees with Burley playing a back three is the right way to go for Arsenal at Anfield.
He says if Emery does not do that then his side could be in for a long afternoon on Merseyside, almost mine months on from the 5-1 defeat there last season.
“That would make sense because Liverpool have got three in the middle and the full-backs are always up there, there’s your five,” Nicol replied.
