Fellow United star Marcus Rashford echoed Maguire’s call for more stringent action on racism.
He told Twitter: “Enough now. This needs to stop.
“Manchester United is a family. @paulpogba is a huge part of that family.
“You attack him you attack us all… @ManUtd.”

United released a statement on Tuesday morning condemning the racist abuse aimed at Pogba.
The club is working to find the people responsible for the abhorrent abuse, and will take the strongest course of action, it said.
“Everyone at Manchester United is disgusted by the racial abuse aimed at Paul Pogba last night and we utterly condemn it," a United statement read.
“The individuals who expressed these views do not represent the values of our great club and it is encouraging to see the vast majority of our fans condemn this on social media also.
“Manchester United has zero tolerance of any form of racism or discrimination and a long-standing commitment to campaigning against it through our #AllRedAllEqual initiative.
“We will work to identify the few involved in these incidents and take the strongest course of action available to us. We also encourage social media companies to take action in these cases.”

He was seen debating with Rashford about who should be taking the spot-kick, before he had his shot saved by goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
Speaking after the match, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the club has two dedicated penalty takers, and it's up to the players to decide who takes them at the time.
United's next match will be against Crystal Palace on Saturday (3pm).
