Arsenal fan says signing of Nicolas Pepe would be a 'coup'
Arsenal boss Emery could be set to pull off a major transfer coup, with Pepe currently looking likely to move to the Emirates from Lille.
The Ivory Coast international has been linked with a host of European clubs this summer, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Napoli and PSG all backed to secure his signature.
On Saturday, however, it emerged that Arsenal had agreed a £72million fee with Lille for Pepe.
The Gunners plan to pay that amount in instalments with the club operating on a restricted budget due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

“This makes Arsenal better and gives them a little bit more depth going forward.
“They will score more goals, sure.
“But for this Arsenal team to really make a push at closing the gap on, not just the top four, but the top two, they’ve got to be better defensively.
“Given the noises we’re hearing from the likes of [Laurent] Koscielny, who need replacing anyway, I’m surprised that it’s taken Unai Emery this long to see any kind of movement in terms of reinforcing their rearguard.”
