The likes of Aubameyang, Lacazette, will not be leaving Arsenal this summer to help finance this deal
David Ornstein on Arsenal signing Nicolas Pepe
The Gabon international shared the Premier League Golden boot last season after scoring 22 goals in 36 appearances.
But Ornstein has been told both Aubameyang and strike partner Alexandre Lacazette will remain at the Emirates.
However, he admits Pepe’s arrival would spark the end of a pursuit for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
“[Pepe is] mainly deployed on the right-hand side and cuts in onto his left foot,” Ornstein told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“Tracks back, works hard, which Unai Emery will like.
“He can also operate in a two-man strike-force if needed in a 4-4-2 formation.
“It’s a pretty mouthwatering prospect that he will play in the same team as Aubameyang, Lacazette, potentially [Mesut] Ozil and others.
“I’m told that this will not mean a significant departure.

“But yeah you can safely assume that Wilfried Zaha won’t be coming into Arsenal if this deal doesn’t get done.
“Of course they admire him and he’s been a target.
“The asking price was similarly high and what we don’t know is what it would have taken in an initial instalment this summer to get Wilfried Zaha.
“Although the two players are around a similar fee, you can guarantee that Crystal Palace would have wanted to see more of that up front than perhaps Lille have done with Pepe.”
