What Man Utd need to do before they can complete Bruno Fernandes transfer
MANCHESTER UNITED are now unlikely to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon this summer, but boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could still seal the transfer by selling some players, it’s been claimed.

Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to sign Bruno Fernandes this summer, despite being heavily linked with a move for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder.
Solskjaer has other priorities in the transfer window, and it’s unlikely that he’ll be taking the deal any further, according to Sky Sports.
But, the Red Devils boss may be tempted to make an official bid for Fernandes if he sells some more players, it said.
The club would have to offload a number of players for any deal to take place.
A number of high-profile players at Old Trafford have been linked with a move away
A number of high-profile players at Old Trafford have been linked with a move away from the club.
Romelu Lukaku is edging closer to a £75m transfer to Italy, as Inter Milan are keen on signing the striker.
More notably, Paul Pogba has revealed his intention to leave United this summer. Pogba plays in a similar position to Fernandes, and selling the France international may be the catalyst for Solskjaer to sign Fernandes.
But, Pogba is looking increasingly likely to stay at Old Trafford, as Solskjaer confirmed he had no concerns over the midfielder.
Fernandes had been linked with a move to United after a stellar season in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
He scored 20 goals from midfield, and was subsequently called up to the Portugal national squad.
The 24-year-old also scored in Sporting’s pre-season friendly against Liverpool on Wednesday, in what was a 2-2 draw.
However, much of the speculation surrounding Fernandes’ future has been fuelled by Portuguese media, it’s been claimed.
Fernandes himself has revealed that he’d like to play in England one day, amid links to United.
“Will this be the last match for Sporting? I don't know, it's the coach who decides,” he said earlier this week.
“I told I'd like to play in England, but I don't care about it right now.
“If it could be this season? It could be when the club decides, I'm not in charge.”
