The club have welcomed two new additions so far this summer as youngsters Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka sealed switches from Swansea and Crystal Palace.
Yet the hard work doesn’t stop there, as the board look to get more deals over the line before the August 8 deadline.
It remains uncertain just how much Manchester United have to spend this summer, but they’ve adopted a new transfer strategy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s leadership.
The Norwegian wants to sign young, hungry, British talent as he looks to build a new core at Old Trafford.
According to the Evening Standard, Solskjaer expects to complete five deals this summer, meaning there will be at least three more signings to come.
The Baby-Faced Assassin confirmed on Friday that the club are currently working on two deals, although he did not disclose the names of targets.
Manchester United saw a £70million bid for Harry Maguire rejected at the start of the week, and will need to up their offer to £90m if they’re to sign the England international.
Ed Woodward is also expected to step up the club’s attempts to sign Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff in the next week.

“We’ve been good in the market. Still working on a case or two,” Solskjaer told MUFC TV.
“I’ve been in touch with Joel (Glazer) and Ed (Woodward) and recruitment over summer.
“There will probably be some more business done, but we are happy with what we have done so far.
“We want players who can get us off the edge of their seats. They are hungry and at the start of their careers. They are here now.”
