Rangers: Jordan Jones ‘determined to make a mark’ at the club
That is the view of Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill, who is backing one current Rangers player to make up for the Englishman's exit.
Jordan Jones joined Rangers from Premiership rivals Kilmarnock after signing a pre-contract agreement to join at the end of the 2018/19 season.
The Northern Ireland international has linked up with his new team-mates as they prepare to go head-to-head with Celtic, and O’Neill has backed him to make a fine replacement for Ryan Kent, who rejoined parent club Liverpool earlier this summer.
Kent won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year in his first season in Scotland, but he is unlikely to return with several clubs around Europe pursuing a signature.

“And I always felt that while he didn’t have as much of the ball, he was always very confident when he was on it.
“He was always prepared to do the things he’s good at and that’s what I liked about him.
“As soon as we brought him into our squad, we saw the same thing.”
Rangers are aiming to halt the charge of their Old Firm rivals who could win a ninth-consecutive league title this term.

As well as their title successes, the Hoops completed a historic treble treble last season, but Jones and his team-mates are confident in the ability to topple Celtic.
He said earlier this month: “Since January when the move was announced I’ve obviously been trying to focus on Kilmarnock, but it is quite hard.
“Now I’m itching to get started at Rangers and put my marker down.
“I have no doubt we are going to win the league at some point and hopefully sooner rather than later.”
