Maguire has today been the subject of a huge £70million bid from Manchester United, with the Red Devils eager to beat Manchester City to his signature.
The England international has been on the Red Devils' radar for well over a year, back when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
Mourinho wanted Manchester United to sign Maguire - only for Ed Woodward to say no. However, a whole year on, and the Red Devils chief appears to have had a change of heart.
United bid today amid fears that they may well miss out on the defender to City, with Pep Guardiola eyeing a deal for the England rock.

Manchester City, though, view the Leicester powerhouse as a potential long-term replacement for Vincent Kompany.

Meanwhile, speaking recently, United legend Teddy Sheringham urged his side to land Maguire despite interest from their Premier League rivals.
“Central defence is a big area where they need to find a Vincent Kompany or Tony Adams-type player,” said Sheringham.
