Celtic signed Weah on a six-month loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain in January and the youngster got off to a perfect start by scoring on his debut against Airdrieonians in the Scottish Cup.
The United States international, and son of Ballon d’Or winner George, went on to score three goals in 10 appearances under Brendan Rodgers, but notched just one in seven under Lennon.
Weah scored his only goal since Rodgers left in his only start under Lennon against St Mirren in March, which could turn out to be his last ever Celtic goal after he joined up with United States Under-20 side for the upcoming World Cup.
The 19-year-old revealed his exit on Instagram on Friday, with reports claiming that the player was not willing to return to play in the Scottish Cup final at the end of the month.

It was a true honour playing for this club
Former Celtic forward Timothy Weah
Weah’s statement came as a shock to supporters ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm derby against Rangers, although the forward was always set to miss that clash as he was required to join up with his international team-mates.
He wrote: “The gaffer told me it is in the best interest of the team that I collect my things and go home.
“It was a true honour playing for this club and also having the opportunity to interact with legends who paved the way for us.
“I am especially thankful to the Celtic family for giving me the opportunity to show you all what I am capable of doing once given the chance.
