Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has FOUR words for Barcelona after Porto win
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold wasted no time in sending a message to Barcelona after they beat Porto 4-1 in their Champions League quarter-final clash.
There they will face a Barcelona side who knocked out Manchester United 4-0 on aggregate on Tuesday.
After the game at the Estadio do Dragao, Alexander-Arnold took to Twitter and said: “Bring on the semis!”
Liverpool have every right to be confident as they are still on course for the double this season as they also close in on their first Premier League title.
The Reds travelled to Portugal with a 2-0 lead from the first leg at Anfield and Mane opened Liverpool’s account after 26 minutes with a sliding effort that required VAR confirmation to be given.
This was followed up by Mohamed Salah after the break who finished off a sublime counter-attack, before Porto’s defender Eder Militao pulled one back for the home team.
While victory was never in doubt for the Reds at this point, late goals from Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk capped off an impressive performance for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
After the game Klopp revealed how impressed is he with the improvement he has seen in his players this season.
