Man Utd: Hislop SLAMS Solskjaer for using injuries as an excuse
Manchester United appointed Solskjaer as the club's permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho last month, with the 46-year-old shining during a 99-day spell as interim boss.
No announcement is yet to be made about his No 2, Phelan, however.
Some Manchester United fans have been fearing that the Red Devils legend may not stay for the long term and will instead continue his work at Australian side Central Coast Mariners.
But Solskjaer has predicted that Red Devils supremo Woodward will finalise a contract 'soon.'

Solskjaer has now been asked whether a top four finish will influence the club's transfer plans for the summer.
And he replied by saying: "I’ve answered that question quite a few times.
"Manchester United and our history and traditions and our potential will always be interesting for players but the better you do better results you get and players will like to come.
"When we came in three months ago we were 11 points behind now we’re in that position, we’ve just gotta go into next seven games with same attitude, let’s go for it see how it takes us and now where we got into this position.
"Let’s just keep carrying on, don’t change your approach on how to attack games, sometimes you get more of the all, sometimes you ave to defend well."
United face Wolves next up in the Premier League on Tuesday (7.45pm).
The Red Devils lost 2-1 when the two teams met in the FA Cup just three weeks ago.
