Scotland: Celtic and Rangers should be ashamed says White
Celtic and Rangers are currently occupying the top two spots in the Scottish Premiership table, with both sides producing impressive domestic performances regularly this season.
Neil Lennon has continued the good form the Hoops produced under Brendan Rodgers as the cruise toward an eighth consecutive league title.
Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have shown a vast improvement on previous seasons, and although they are likely to end the season without trophy, fans are optimistic under the ex-England captain.
However, Jim White has called out the Old Firm duo for not doing enough to assist in the progress of the Scotland national team.

Celtic are too busy, they’re too preoccupied in trying to dominate Rangers, keeping them at arms length

“It’s pathetic. And then they’re still trapped in sectarian bile.
“Rangers fans, quite recently again, the finger pointed at them for verbally abusing Steve Clarke.
“Once they come out the dark ages and realise they have a duty to serve Scotland, they might well progress.”
White was born in Glasgow and is an avid supporter of the Scotland national side.

Alex Mcleish’s men stooped to a new low with a 3-0 defeat to Kazakhstan in the European Championship qualifying group on Thursday.
"I'll continue to do my job and won't get drawn into that," said McLeish when asked about his future.
"There's a lot of inexperience in the squad. We have introduced a few new names over the last year or so and it can take time, but I know we don't have time.
"It's never finished until it's finished. We have players to come back."
