Tottenham told to complete signings in January but there's a major problem
TOTTENHAM need to spend cash on new signings when the transfer window reopens, according to Sky Sports pundit Steve Sidwell.
Pochettino: Son’s January absence WON’T affect transfer window
But the former Chelsea man says there are two major problems when it comes to getting deals over the line.
Despite calling for signings, Sidwell admits that doing business in January is 'hard'.

And it's even harder when it comes to bringing in a striker because few are going to want to join knowing they will be back-up to Harry Kane.
Spurs moved into second with a 5-0 win over Bournemouth after Manchester City fell to a shock defeat to Leicester.
"It's going to be tight throughout the season," Sidwell said while discussing the title race.
"In Tottenham's case I think they need to go out and get some additions into that squad.
"When you look at what they've achieved, after not signing any players over the summer, you have to give them credit.
"Harry Kane didn't get off to the best of starts, they've had injuries Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Jan Vertonghen and this is the position they are in.
"If they go into January and they get a fresh face... I remember when I was playing, if a new signing came in, in pre-season or midway through the seaosn, it just lifted the whole dressing room up.
"Whether it was in a position you were fighting for, or whether it was a big-name star, you're thinking 'I need to impress him'.
"People are saying if Harry Kane gets injured, they need someone to back him up but who, realistically, is going to come in and play second fiddle to Harry Kane and be limited in games?
"It's hard to bring someone in, that's where it comes to man-management and do they, as a club, have the money, with the stadium being built, to bring a signing in?"
