Manchester United travel to Liverpool on Sunday, 16 points behind their bitter rivals.
And while several Liverpool players have impressed this season, many United stars have under performed.
As a result, in their final combined XI, Liverpool dominate with seven players compared to United’s four.
In goal, David de Gea edges out Alisson with Neville saying: “I've gone for David de Gea.
“Alisson is fantastic but I think De Gea is the best in the world.
“People question whether he is having the best season but overall it has to be De Gea."
In the back four, Liverpool have three players with Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Carragher fought hard for Dejan Lovren’s inclusion, saying: “Despite making mistakes, when everyone has their best game his is better than Eric Bailly's or Chris Smalling’s.”
In the end, Bailly was picked with Neville adding: “Do I think Bailly is brilliant? Not really.
“But if Bailly was put in among that back four, I think he would be the best out of those three.
"But it was a flip of a coin.”
In midfield, Paul Pogba is handed a place but Carragher said: “He's the most undisciplined player of all time!”
Alongside Pogba, Naby Keita and Nemanja Matic were picked with Carragher saying: “I've put Nemanja Matic in because he's the classic holding midfielder; he's been there, done it and won titles.
“He's probably the best holding midfield player in both squads.”
And in attack, Neville wanted Anthony Martial but eventually went with the front three Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, who Carragher described as “fantastic”.
