Liverpool: Klopp made Gomez mistake aginst PSG says Nicol
That’s according to Owen Hargreaves.
The Reds fell 2-1 in the French capital after goals from Juan Bernat and Neymar.
James Milner’s penalty before half-time put the Merseyside outfit in contention for a draw but though they pushed for an equaliser in the second half, they did not do enough from open play.
The Merseyside outfit can still progress from Group C by beating Napoli in the final game but the Italian outfit are unbeaten in five games so far this term - giving Klopp’s side a huge challenge.
And Hargreaves believes Klopp should regret starting Dejan Lovren and dropping Alexander-Arnold - who scored in a win over Watford at the weekend - which shifted Joe Gomez out to right-back in his place.
Yet he thinks Klopp will not repeat his error in their final group game in two weeks' time.
“I love Trent Alexander-Arnold, I’d play him at any time,” ex-Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves told BT Sport’s Champions League highlights show.
“I know he’s a young kid and maybe at times, defensively he’s still learning the game but I love him.

“I love his confidence and he’s aggressive as well. I would have played him.
“But Gomez played at right back, Lovren’s come in. I’m pretty sure you’ll see Trent play at Anfield against Napoli.”
Liverpool can make the last 16 by beating Napoli 1-0 or by winning by a two-goal margin when they welcome Carlo Ancelotti’s men to Anfield on December 11.
But group leaders Napoli have yet to lose in Europe this season and have only lost to Serie A leaders Juventus in their last 15 games across all competitions.
And Hargreaves has warned that Napoli will pose Liverpool a stiff test after they beat Red Star Belgrade 3-1 at the San Paolo Stadium last night - particularly with the threat of Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne up top.
He added: “They’re brilliant, little magicians. Napoli are really quietly transitioning from [Maurizio] Sarri to Ancelotti.
