Liverpool and Chelsea both enjoyed fruitful transfer windows as they target Premier League glory this season, with Jurgen Klopp and Maurizio Sarri both eyeing the prize.
The duo were both heavily linked with a move for Fekir, who impressed as Lyon secured a return to the Champions League last season, striking up a good partnership with Memphis Depay and Mariano Diaz.
Liverpool ultimately opted against signing the France international due to concerns over a long-term knee injury.
And recent reports have claimed Chelsea also pulled the plug on signing the 24-year-old.
However, Brazilian newspaper UOL Esporte claim both teams also snubbed Brazilian prodigy Pedrinho.
The 20-year-old has caught the eye in his homeland since making his debut in March last year.
Pedrinho helped Corinthians win the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A in 2017 and then helped them win the Campeonato Paulista twice in as many years.
UOL Esporte say Liverpool and Chelsea were offered him this summer.
The Reds have a big Brazilian contingent at Anfield having placed their faith in South American stars in recent years.

Liverpool need to learn from Alisson's mistake says Klopp
Liverpool already had Roberto Firmino on their books before the summer.
But they then raided Monaco and Roma for Fabinho and Alisson Becker respectively.
Liverpool and Chelsea both snubbed the chance to sign Pedrinho - but they are not the only club to do so.
Kia Joorabchian, Pedrinho’s agent, also contacted Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain.
Both the two European giants opted to spend their money on other players instead.
Speaking recently, meanwhile, Pedrinho urged Corinthians to do their utmost to win more silverware this season.
