Chelsea transfer news: Kylian Hazard’s father confirms exit, Spain move likely
KYLIAN HAZARD will be loaned out by Chelsea, his father Thierry has confirmed.
Kylian, the younger brother of Blues and Belgium midfielder Eden, joined Chelsea last summer from Ujpest on a three-year deal.
The 23-year-old didn’t make any first-team appearances for the current FA Cup holders last season, spending the campaign in the under-23 developmental squad.
And according to his dad, he will likely spend the 2018/19 campaign on loan in Spain.
"Kylian has two years contract with Chelsea but will be loaned out," Thierry told Hiet Nieuwsblad.
"He did a test at VVV in the Netherlands but that did not happen. Now there is a chance in Spain for him.”
Kylian’s immediate elder sibling Thorgan, who plies his trade with Borussia Monchengladbach, won’t be on the move before the close of the German transfer window.
"Thorgan stays with Monchengladbach. At one point, Valencia was concrete and I spoke with the club in Spain,” Thierry said.
“Nothing has come of it, but that is not bad. He has two years of contract left.”

The eldest Hazard brother was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the Bernabeu last month to join Italian champions Juventus.
Real have yet to make a move for the 26-year-old, a fact which has led Thierry to believe his son won’t ever sign for the Spanish giants.
“I can't say why it did not go through. Not because I don't want to, because I don't know,” he said.
“Maybe they have a policy where they want to give the youth a chance.
“Eden will have one more year on his contract next summer, but he may never end up in Madrid.”
He added: "It could be that it had been a different story with Zidane.
“But on the other hand, he will also have had his reasons for leaving."
Chelsea return to action tomorrow afternoon, travelling to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle.
