Chelsea: Shearer praises Jorginho and Kante partnership
That is the opinion of Sky Sports pundit and former Stoke defender Danny Higginbotham.
Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in July for a fee of around £57million.
The Blues beat Manchester City to the signing of the Italian after the reigning Premier League champions had also agreed a fee with Napoli.
A big reason for that was the man who managed him at Napoli for the last three seasons, Sarri, had just been appointed as Antonio Conte’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.
Because he’s played under Sarri before at Napoli, he can help the players that were adjusting to the way Sarri wants to play
Danny Higginbotham on Chelsea midfielder Jorginho
The Chelsea boss’ style of play is dubbed ‘Sarri-ball’ and is something Jorginho was a key part of in Serie A.
And Higginbotham reckons the midfielder can help his team-mates adapt to the new style.
“Yes (he makes Sarri-ball tick),” Higginbotham said of Jorginho.
“I think the one thing is, because he’s played under Sarri before at Napoli, I’m not saying he becomes the on-pitch manager, but he can help the players that were adjusting to the way Sarri wants to play when he’s on the pitch.

“He’s basically the heartbeat of the team now, as he was eventually at Napoli where everything is going to go through him.
“He’s got strong runners either side of him, which will create space for him.
“He’ll be that deep-lying playmaker and obviously he’ll be expected and asked to be that shield in front of the back four.”
Jorginho has started both Premier League games for Chelsea so far this season.
